Girls just wanna have fun - country walks, woodland falls, and a strawfield sunset.
There's something so special about family sessions where children can run free, explore, and simply be themselves. This beautiful evening with a family of five at Spectacle E'E Falls was full of laughter, adventure and so much joy.
We started our evening walking down
a quiet country road,
the evening light wrapping everything in a golden glow.
Mum and dad strolled hand -in-hand
while the girls skipped along together,
already full of energy and excitement for what was ahead.
The road led us into a wide, open field with rolling views in the distance. The girls looked picture perfect in their pastel and floral outfits, which stood out against the soft tones of the landscape. We captured a mix of natural portraits and playful moments here before heading towards the woodland.
As we entered the trees, the light shifted to something more magical and gentle. The girls loved exploring the path to the waterfall, and you could feel the sense of wonder in the air. This part of the session gave us some intimate family moments tucked away in nature.
On our way back, the girls couldn't resist the straw in the field. They rolled, spun, tossed it into the air, and even buried themselves in it. These are the kinds of moments I love most - the giggles, the mess, and the pure joy of childhood.
As if the evening wasn't already magical enough, we spotted two cheeky sheep who had escaped their field! The girls gently watched from a distance before we carried on and finished at a rustic stile, with geese wandering nearby. It was the perfect ending to our adventure.
Spending these two hours with this wonderful family reminded me how much beauty can be found in simple moments. Sunshine, nature, and three sisters making memories together - what could be better?
